On February 17, the Thai national daily reported that a fire broke out in the sangkundan scenic area of Thailand's pukraton national park on the morning of February 16, local time. The fire was not brought under control until the early morning of February 17."Crews were trying to put out the fire, but strong winds blew the spark over the fire barrier and landed 400 meters off the mesa cliffs," fire department chief adi sanheim-sanot said Sunday.The fire then spread rapidly around messutcliffe, covering a large area.
Adithorne said more than 130 workers, national park officials and volunteer fire crews, along with three tractors and four sprinklers, worked through the afternoon and into the night.They set up fire barriers to prevent the fire from spreading.
Reports say the fire was under control early Sunday morning.It is estimated that more than 2,000 lai (1 lai is equivalent to 1,600 square metres) have been destroyed, mainly pine forests and grasslands.
The liv pu jiadun national park is one of the most famous national parks in Thailand, with a peak 1316 meters high and a total area of 348 square kilometers.It is famous for its beautiful sandstone cliffs, beautiful scenery and a variety of tropical plants and animals.
Pukyatun national park, 1316 meters above sea level, is a picturesque area.
