According to Philstar Global reports, a grass fire at Mt. Asog (Mt. Iriga) in Camarines Sur, Philippines, has been brought under control as of April 13, 2026.
The fire affected about 20 hectares of land, including ridge areas and nearby communities.
Firefighters created fire lines to stop the spread.
Teams from the Bureau of Fire Protection are working with local authorities to fully extinguish the remaining hotspots.
Authorities said the fire may have been caused by human activities, such as charcoal making or careless actions like discarded cigarette butts.
Monitoring operations are ongoing to prevent the fire from reigniting.
