• Tokyo 2020 is the first Olympic Games to be postponed and the second to be held in Tokyo after 1964.Olympic Committees from 205 countries and territories and members of the INTERNATIONAL Olympic Committee's refugee team gathered in Tokyo to compete in 33 sports and 339 events.

Sixty-five delegations won gold MEDALS and 93 MEDALS.Nine delegations won more than 10 gold MEDALS, and 16 delegations won more than five gold MEDALS.The United States, China, Japan, Britain, Russia, Australia and other countries remain stable in the gold medal table.

A total of 777 members of The Chinese sports delegation participated in the Tokyo Olympics, including 431 athletes, which is the largest participating in foreign Olympic Games and covers 225 sports in 30 sports except surfing, baseball, softball and handball, which is the largest participating in foreign Olympic Games ever.The Chinese delegation won 38 gold, 32 silver and 18 bronze MEDALS in Tokyo for a total of 88 MEDALS, second only to the United States in the number of gold MEDALS and total MEDALS, which equaled the best overseas performance achieved in London.
