At about 10:10 am on July 12, longyan fire department was alerted to a sudden fire at an oil refinery in Xinluo District, Longyan City, Fujian Province.At present, longyan fire department has mobilized 51 fire trucks, nearly 200 firefighters to rescue.

Residents in the area speculated that a chemical plant had exploded and that a wave of explosions was followed by open flames.
