Firefighters in India have rescued an 83-year-old man from a deep well

P N Tyre, an 83-year-old retired professor, was rescuing a cat from a well when he fell into it. His daughter-in-law found him and called firefighters.In the video, a firefighter tied a rope to the bottom of the well before they slowly lifted the old man up.Professor Thiel appeared to walk away without serious injury.Because of the coronavirus's limited social distance, the daughter-in-law was unable to turn to neighbours for help and had to call firefighters.
